Mark your calendar for the Missouri Tree Farm 70th Anniversary Celebration planned for March 1-2, 2019 at the Hilton Garden Inn in Columbia, MO.

Concurrent Session Topics: Black Walnut Initiative, Chestnuts & Ozark Chinquapins, Estate Planning & Succession, Invasive Species, Tree Pests & Diseases, Timber Markets Present & Future, Timber Stand Improvement & Cost Share, and Wildlife Habitat Enhancement.

Tree Farm Celebration Agenda

FRIDAY, MARCH 1

10:00 am – 12:00 pm: Missouri Tree Farm Committee business meeting. Lunch will be provided.

11:00 am – 3:30 pm: Barrel 53 Cooperage Tours and Tastings. Barrel 53 is a family-owned and operated whiskey barrel cooperage and stave manufacturer. Every barrel is aged and refined using premium Missouri White Oak. Tours will be offered for $25 (lunch included). Space is limited to 50.

1:00 – 4:00 pm: Registration. Please check in and pick up your attendance gift bag.

4:00 – 5:30 pm: Bass Pro Shops Reception. Join us for a cocktail reception at Bass Pro located within walking distance of the Hilton Garden Inn.

6:00 – 9:00 pm: Banquet Dinner and Awards Ceremony. Chris Erwin with the American Tree Farm System will speak on Advocacy and Legislative Process. Missouri State Forester Lisa Allen will be presenting the annual awards.

SATURDAY, MARCH 2

8:00 – 8:45 am: Registration. Please check in and pick up your attendance gift bag.

9:00 – 9:45 am: Welcome and Opening Remarks.

9:45 – 10:00 am: Opportunity to meet with vendors.

10:00 – 10:50 am: Concurrent Session – Period 1. (Options: Black Walnut Initiative, Invasive Species or Timber Stand Improvement & Cost Share)

10:50 – 11:00 am: Opportunity to meet with vendors.

11:00 – 11:50 am: Concurrent Session – Period 2. (Options: Chestnuts & Ozark Chinquapins, Tree Pests & Diseases or Wildlife Habitat Enhancement)

11:50 am – 1:20 pm: Lunch. Garret Nowell with Independent Stave will speak on the White Oak Initiative.

1:20 – 1:30: Opportunity to meet with vendors.

1:30 – 2:20: Concurrent Session – Period 3. (Options: Estate Planning & Succession, Tree Pests & Diseases or Timber Stand Improvement & Cost Share)

2:20 – 2:30: Opportunity to meet with vendors.
